The CRIS2026 International Conference took place in Ponta Delgada.

THE 17th CRIS International Conference (CRIS2026) took place from May 5th to 7th in the city of Ponta Delgada, bringing together experts, institutions and decision-makers involved in the management of scientific information and CRIS systems at an international level.

Organized by euroCRIS, the meeting was attended by representatives from universities, research centers, digital infrastructures, and national and international organizations, promoting the sharing of experiences, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of Current Research Information Systems.

Over three days, the program included plenary sessions, thematic presentations, workshops, working meetings, and moments dedicated to debating interoperability, metadata standards, research infrastructures, and the evolution of national scientific information ecosystems. This year's edition also highlighted the growing role of CRIS in promoting the transparency, efficiency, and quality of research data.
