CRIS2026: Registration open

Registration for the conference CRIS2026, Registration for the event, which takes place from May 19th to 22nd at the Ponta Delgada campus of the University of the Azores, is now open. Those interested can secure their participation through [link/website/etc.]. form registration is available on the euroCRIS website, allowing participants to register for the conference and the various activities included in the event program.

O formulário permite o registo individual e inclui a participação nas diferentes iniciativas previstas no âmbito da conferência, como a receção de boas-vindas, o jantar oficial, o Common European Research Information Format (CERIF) Tutorial e uma visita guiada à cidade de Ponta Delgada, integrada no programa social.

Group registration at a reduced price for three or more participants from the same organization has been available since the beginning of January. In this case, the registration process works through a separate registration form, indicated on the conference's official website.

Early registration period runs until March 22nd.
Notifications regarding the acceptance or rejection of proposals submitted to the conference should be sent to the authors by March 16th. Meanwhile, the early bird registration period remains open until March 22nd, allowing participants to benefit from special registration conditions.

Participation in the conference will be limited to 200 participants, so the organizers recommend that those interested complete the registration process as soon as possible.

Debate on the future of scientific information systems.
Under the theme “Reshaping the CRIS role in the context of AI, open infrastructures, open source, and research evaluation”"CRIS2026 proposes a space for reflection and debate on the evolution of the role of Current Research Information Systems (CRIS), in a context marked by the increasing use of artificial intelligence, the development of open infrastructures, the adoption of open source software, and new approaches to research evaluation.".

This is the 17th edition of the conference, part of a biennial series dedicated to improving the availability of and access to research information systems in Europe and internationally.

The event is organized by euroCRIS, in cooperation with PTCRIS – Portuguese Current Research Information System, a program of FCCN, the digital services unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology, and also has the support of the University of the Azores.

CRIS2026 is aimed at professionals and decision-makers in the field of scientific information, including managers of research and funding institutions, evaluators, librarians, information and communication technology specialists, and those responsible for defining scientific policies.
