
CRIS2026 invites the scientific community to discuss the role of CRIS in the era of AI and open science.
It is officially open to CRIS2026 Call for Proposalsa 17th International Conference on Current Research Information Systems (CRIS), which will take place in May 20-22, 2026, in UUniversity of the Azores, in Ponta Delgada, Portugal.
Under the general theme "Reshaping the CRIS role in the context of AI, open infrastructures, open source, and research evaluation," CRIS2026 aims to promote reflection and debate on the evolving role of CRIS in a context marked by artificial intelligence, open infrastructures, open source software, and new models for evaluating research.
The conference is organized byeuroCRIS, in cooperation with thePTCRIS – Portuguese Current Research Information System, a program initiated byFCCN, digital services unit of Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), also counting on the support ofUniversity of the Azores.
CRIS2026 is aimed at professionals and decision-makers in the field of scientific information, including managers of research and funding institutions, evaluators, librarians, ICT specialists and policymakers.
Submissions open
Contributions are accepted in the following formats:
• Full or short scientific articles
• Review articles
• Case studies and best practices
• Innovative technologies, processes or models
• Posters, tutorials and workshops
